Saxophonist Ian Young has quickly emerged as a top performer and recording artist in the worlds of Jazz and R&B music. His playing merges a virtuosic technique with a passion for melody, adding soulful lyricism to any musical situation.

A graduate of Oberlin Conservatory, Ian Young has been a featured soloist and sideman to numerous chart-topping artists: Prince & The New Power Generation, Jay-Z, John Mayer, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Sheryl Crow, Justin Bieber, Alecia Keys, Aretha Franklin, Moby, Robin Thicke, Sharon Jones, Joss Stone, Teena Marie, Ryan Shaw, Carl Thomas, Crystal Waters, Chico Hamilton, Michael Wolff, Roy Hargrove, and Wynton Marsalis are just a few of the talents with whom he has shared the stage.

Based in New York City, he is currently working on a follow-up album to his debut record,Introducing Ian Young (Bespoke Sounds), to be released in the fall of 2012.
